Howard Bard is Vice President, Taxes and Retirement Security at the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI). Howard helps guide ACLI policy on regulation and legislation affecting the retirement security business of its members. He has more than 20 years of experience in the practice of employee benefits law.
Brian Bayerle is Senior Actuary for the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI). Brian's responsibilities include actuarial matters related to regulation of reserves, nonforfeiture values, and risk-based capital. Prior to joining ACLI in 2017, Brian worked for a life insurance company and a consultancy.
Alane R. Dent is Senior Vice President, Federal Relations for the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) and oversees issues affecting the life insurance industry; including tax, retirement security, financial services, international affairs and life insurance products. She has advocated for the industry for over 15 years.
Jack Dolan is Vice President, Public Affairs at the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI). A former journalist and Capitol Hill aide, he joined ACLI in 1991. He has represented ACLI in print, broadcast and online news outlets on a wide range of financial and retirement security issues facing American families.
Bruce Ferguson is Senior Vice President, State Relations at the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI). He oversees ACLI’s legislative and regulatory advocacy at all levels of state government, including organizations such as the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and associations of state legislatures and governors.
Mariana Gomez-Vock is Associate General Counsel at the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI). She is an experienced policy and legal adviser with subject matter expertise in global and domestic group capital standards for insurance, reinsurance, and identifying and analyzing emerging regulatory risk trends.
John Mangan is Regional Vice President, State Relations. He is responsible for state legislative and regulatory affairs in California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. He also leads the ACLI’s state advocacy team on the issues of state-run retirement plans and state fiduciary proposals. He joined ACLI in 2002.
